Author Guidelines
- Ernst Journal of Animal Science is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal. The journal provides a platform for researchers to disseminate original review articles as well as materials containing the results of advanced research and development in the field of animal husbandry and related industries with their in-depth theoretical discussion.
- The journal publishes original papers including the following fields:
- Agricultural Biodiversity
- Agricultural Genomics
- Animal Breeding and Nutrition
- Aquaculture
- Breeding Genetics
- Dairy Farming
- Husbandry Science
- Submitted manuscripts should be relevant to the subject matter of the journal, should not have been previously published or under consideration for publication in other print or electronic publications.
- The article sent to the Editorial Board should be accompanied by a licence agreement between the author and the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal (sample: ).
- The Editorial Board does not inform the authors about changes and abbreviations of the manuscript that are editorial in nature and do not affect fundamental issues. The final decision on approval or rejection of the article submitted to the editorial board is made by the editorial board and is final.
- Authors of articles are responsible for the completeness and reliability of the material presented, quoted text, as well as for the publication of borrowed material. Borrowed text fragments should be formalised as quotations with obligatory indication of the author and primary source. Excessive borrowing, including self-citation, as well as plagiarism in any form is unacceptable. When an article is submitted to the editorial board, the material is checked in the Anti-Plagiarism system. The editorial board is guided by the rules of the International Standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
- The presentation of the material should be clear, logically arranged in the following sequence:
Authors and Affiliations. Provide the complete names of all authors, and their addresses for correspondence, including e.g., institutional affiliation (e.g. university, institute), city, state/province (if applicable), and country. One of the authors should be designated as the corresponding author. It is the corresponding author's responsibility to ensure that the author list, and the individual contributions to the study are accurate and complete. If the article has been submitted on behalf of a consortium, all consortium members and their affiliations should be listed after the Acknowledgements section.
Abstract and Keywords. Structured abstract (250-300 words) in Russian and English should be an independent finished material based on the information presented in the paper. Keywords should be in alphabetical order and differ from the words used in the title.
- The mandatory components of the article are an introduction, a structured main part, conclusion and a list of references. For experimental articles the sections ‘Materials and Methods’, ‘Results and Discussion’ are mandatory/
- The authors are personally responsible for the publication of materials containing classified information on the basis of the current legislation.
- Manuscripts that do not comply with these requirements are not considered for publication and are to be returned to the authors.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.
Internet links are provided as a complete URL.
Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text (and not at the end of the document).
Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in Regulations located in the Part "About Us."
Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the anonymity of reviewing.

Specified when registering the names and addresses will be used solely for technical purposes of a contact with the Author or reviewers (editors) when preparing the article for publication. Private data will not be shared with other individuals and organizations.
